Hi, this is Alex from Taiwan!
As someone who has learned multiple foreign languages, I understand the importance of not just learning the language itself, but also immersing oneself in the culture. This is why I offer a variety of Mandarin lessons, including conversation practice, intercultural communication, reading comprehension, and even calligraphy. Whatever you want to learn, I will do my best to help you achieve your goals.
I have been teaching for over 5 years and have taught more than 600 students from 30+ countries. In addition to private tutoring, I have also provided employee comprehensive training in the travel industry. My university degree is in applied foreign languages, with a focus on English, linguistics, and second language acquisition theories. I also spent a year studying in Japan as an exchange student. While my current job is not related to Mandarin education, I work as a Mandarin teacher, content blogger, and Chinese calligrapher on the side.
I consider myself a delightful, light-hearted, and fun person. My teaching style varies, but my goal is always to make the lessons enjoyable, stress-free, and meaningful. I hope you will join me for a lesson!

1. Currently I do not accept students below 18 years old.
2. I am speaking in Taiwanese Mandarin, not Chinese one. There are some wordings, expressions, grammatical rules which are slightly different from China. If your goal is more specific to learn Chinese Mandarin (e.g. running a business in China, job hunting in China), I will recommend you find another Chinese teacher from China.
3. I will not be available from 2023 May to July due to a long trip in Japan!
