My name is André, and I was born and raised in Porto. Currently, I live in Braga, in the north of the country. In addition to languages and teaching, I enjoy discussing foreign cultures, geography, food, music, cinema, science, nature, and sustainability. In my free time, I like to read, play the guitar, travel, and engage in sports.
I began teaching European Portuguese online in 2017. Since then, I've had the opportunity to conduct over 4,000 lessons and collaborate with more than 200 students from diverse countries and backgrounds.
As each student is unique, I strive to meet their needs, expectations, and interests in my lessons. Structure, discipline, and consistency are crucial elements, but I also wholeheartedly encourage students to be inquisitive and ask questions.
In addition to language instruction, I am delighted to share aspects of our culture and traditions.
In a typical lesson, we will learn new vocabulary and grammar, read a text, check pronunciation, listen to a track, and engage in short dialogues or longer conversations. Alternatively, we can focus on a specific skill or prepare for a CAPLE exam.
Upon agreement, there will always be homework to review content and practice writing skills.
PDFs, audio files, and notes from each lesson will be shared in the cloud.
