Eclipse lunar 16 de julio 2019

¡Hola a todos!. Hoy 16 de Julio de 2019, aquí desde Mendoza Argentina tendremos la suerte de poder observar un fenómeno astronómico. Ocurrirá cuando la tierra oculte parte de la luz solar que se refleja en la Luna.
Se trata del segundo eclipse lunar de este año y se lo verá en forma parcial, ya que la alineación del Sol, la Tierra y la Luna llena no se encuentran en forma recta. Los astrónomos ya calcularon que la Tierra ocultará a la Luna en un 70% y será observable durante casi tres horas en África y Europa, mientras que en nuestro país lo veremos en su etapa final.
"Es cierto que la luna da vueltas alrededor de la Tierra todos los meses, pero no siempre se interpone en la sombra de la Tierra. La trayectoria lunar alrededor de la Tierra está inclinada en comparación con la órbita de la Tierra alrededor del sol. La Luna puede estar detrás de la Tierra e incluso así recibir luz solar. El eclipse lunar es un acontecimiento especial", indica la NASA en su página web.

La Luna entrará en la penumbra a las 17.02, tendrá su máximo esplendor a las 18.31 y finalizará a las 20. Desde nuestro país, el evento astronómico se verá recién a partir de las 18.45. La etapa penumbral concluirá en Argentina a las 21.17 hs.
El último eclipse lunar ocurrió 21 de enero pasado y atravesó grandes franjas del mundo, incluidas América, partes del norte de Siberia y Europa occidental. En esa ocasión, el eclipse parcial pasó por la mayor parte de África, Oriente Medio y partes de la India.
El próximo eclipse lunar no ocurrirá hasta el año que viene, aunque los cuatro que se producirán en 2020 solo serán eclipses penumbrales, que son mucho más débiles que los eclipses parciales o completos. No habrá otro eclipse lunar total hasta mayo de 2021
