Patience is a virtue

You find yourself wanting to learn a new language for various reasons.  Maybe you need to learn a new language for your position at work, or maybe you know how important it is to know a second language.  You're ready to learn and you find Verbling. The perfect place in which you can select your own tutor from any region in the world.  You love American English, and you decide that is what you want to focus on learning.  You're excited but also scared.  Scared of making mistakes. Scared of people not understanding you because of your accent or incorrect pronunciation.

I want to tell you that these feelings of fear are natural!  We all want to strive to do our best, and when we make mistakes we sometimes can feel unsure of ourselves.  The truth is though, that in order to get better at anything we will always make mistakes.  This is just the process of learning!

Keep in mind that "Rome wasn't built in a day", and learning a language is exactly the same.  It will take time and patience with yourself.  If your diligent, and practice daily I guarantee that you will improve.

So stay focused, get yourself an awesome Verbling tutor, and practice.

Here is wishing you the best of luck, and you've got this!

Hello students! My name is Cora Bisignano and I am a TEFL certified native English teacher from the United States. I am currently visiting Poland and will be here till September 2018. I am a passionate teacher who loves teaching! I love helping my students become confident and fluent in speaking, understanding and writing English. I work with all ages and levels but focus mainly on conversational and business English and have worked with students in various fields alongside upper-level management as well. My aim is to help you understand the English language so that when you speak or write it, you are able to convey your thoughts and feelings in a way that everyone can understand. I work specifically with improving grammar, simplifying your thoughts (getting rid of sentences and words that are not needed to convey what you're thinking), and most importantly pronunciation. I have worked in many different settings while teaching English. I have worked 1 on 1 (face to face), online, and in group settings. The following list is some of the areas I've focused on: Idioms Public speaking Syntax Vocabulary Presentations Intonation Inflection Reading Writing Exam preparation My teaching style is fun, casual and light. I know it can be difficult to learn a second language, so I want you to learn where you don't feel pressured and you're still getting what you need from each lesson I give. My lessons are custom made for every student I have. I focus on what your needs are and create lessons based on what you want most from learning English. After each lesson, I always give feedback on what I think you can practice and improve on. Some of my interests are: traveling and learning about different cultures. I love being active and exercising. My hobbies are reading, sewing, hiking, and my favorite: cooking! So are you ready to get started? I would love the opportunity to work and help you become a fluent English speaker!
