Speak English Like a Native Regardless of Your Level

Hi, I'm Ed! I'm new to Verbling, but I'm well-experienced teaching ESL. I have been teaching English to thousands of students across North and South America, Europe and Asia for the past 7 years. Whenever I step foot into a new country or revisit a familiar one, I am faced with the same challenge you are facing right now: I know what I want to say, but I don't quite know how to say it. Thankfully while living in Spain at the moment, I have been learning and speaking it for long enough so I can hail a cab, shop with ease, converse daily with natives, and live comfortably if any problem comes up.

But what about your present situation? You may be new to English or have been learning it since elementary/primary school. Still, you can't fuse all together the fragments of phrases and words into complete sentences - and if you can, they don't come at the speed and ease you'd like.

I have put myself in all of the students' shoes whom I have taught to create a better way to learn and speak like a native, even if you don't have all of the grammar rules and tenses under your belt. In my 'Speak English Like a Native' courses, instead of having boring, repetitive drills and topics, I have made them for full immersion; putting you the learner into the place of being new to the US. By combining all aspects of learning: speaking, grammar, reading, vocabulary, writing, listening and more, you will put my methodology into practice in your very first lesson, and walk away feeling more confident that you can achieve you English goals.

So, what it this methodology? It's taking real life dialogue and situations, not found in standard course books or rarely found on the internet, and reviewing all the words and phrases. By dissecting the words, phrases, idioms, and expressions, you are naturally learning the grammar - knowing when and how to use it - and increasing your fluency speed in the process. Find alternative ways to say things, including two unique resource tools for grammar and vocabulary which will enable you to expand your knowledge of English exponentially.

Speaking example: "I'm off to the store. Would you like me to pick up anything for you?"
(Meaning: One person is going to the supermarket or other shop/store to buy what they need. They ask their friend, roommate, partner or spouse if that person needs them to buy something while the first person is there. I'm off to the+noun=I am going somewhere right now; Pick up=buy/get)
Naturally spoken: "Imoffta thestore. Wouldja likemeta pickup anythinforya?"

When we speak, we don't want to emphasize every single word. Instead, we combine our words at a normal speed, just like you do in your native language. Any sentence that I say in English can be done. It's why movies, music, and TV shows can be difficult to follow, because the speed and combining of words can mess with us. But pulled apart, they once again are understood.

Give it a try in my courses or on your own, then you'll be speaking English like a native in no time.
