The #1 quality every English student should have...

There are countless resources out there regarding English study tips, but the most important quality students must have...is patience.

You can be the best student, the most efficient learner, and the most dedicated to studying. You can be tenacious and relentless, but fluency will not happen overnight. Fluency takes TIME and it's not something you have control over at all times.

Once you succumb to the process of learning, you will quickly realize that mastering the English language is a marathon and not a sprint. We are all created differently, and while some may gain fluency faster than others, we cannot compare ourselves to the successes of our peers. Whether you struggle with speaking, writing, listening or reading...you must have patience. Surrender to the journey and enjoy the journey, because you simply cannot force fluency.

So don't get discouraged and frustrated because you feel like you should be further along with your level of English. Do the best you can with the time and resources made available to you, and have faith that you're on the right path (no matter how long it takes). As long as you are moving towards your goal, even if it's via baby steps, you are succeeding in your ultimate vision.

Be patient and trust the process - you WILL get there!

** I am now taking NEW and CURRENT students - Please message me directly if you are interested in scheduling for a specific day/time, and I will open up my availability for you! Hello everyone! My name is Kristal and I am a native English speaker from the United States, and I am currently working on my PhD in International Relations and Development. I have a Bachelor's degree in English and a Masters degree in Negotiation, Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding. I work full-time as a business professional and work part-time as an online ESL teacher helping students from Latin America, the Middle East and Africa. I am very conversational in my teaching approach, and I believe the more "natural" the teaching style, the more enjoyable the learning experience becomes. My lessons are very fun, and my students always say they feel like they are talking to a friend, rather than sitting in a boring English class. The majority of my students are adults working for international ...
