1. to + verb This is called the infinitive.
I like to eat pizza.
I want to buy a new hat.
2. toward something or someone
Give this pen to him.
I sent an email to Kate.
* In most cases we “go to” a place. There are some exceptions like “home” and the “here” words. The “here” words are: “here, there, everywhere, somewhere, and nowhere."
