Typical Legal Language

How does your writing compare to the professional world?

As legal practitioners the ability to clearly and concisely communicate a message to your reader is one of the most important skills of communication that you will require.

Writing is an expression of one's thoughts on paper and is limited to those words printed on the paper. It is for this reason that you need to write exactly what you mean, so as to be able to convey your message without giving rise to any potential ambiguity.

Legal language, also know as legalese, is often intricate and very formal with the use of Latin terminology and overly long and complicated sentences.
