My name is Hanh King. I am from Vietnam, a former francophone country. I came to the United States in 1975. I am multilingual. I consider French and Vietnamese my native languages. I also speak English, Krio, Mandarin Chinese, Taiwanese, and some Spanish. I had a French education in Saigon, Vietnam. I began tutoring French in Saigon, Vietnam when I was fourteen years old. I began teaching in an elementary French school in Saigon at the age of 19. I have a Master's degree in French, a Master's degree in Linguistics. I am currently a doctoral student in Instructional Leadership at Nova Southeastern University. I have taught at the college, university level as well at the high school level. I am a very engaging and interactive French teacher. My approach to language learning is daily practice speaking the target language.

Having grown up in a multilingual environment, multilingualism has always been a part of my everyday life, and I've embraced this fully! On top of my native French and English, I'm fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Danish and can get by in quite a few other languages. I am passionate about language and teaching and know what it's like to be both a learner and a teacher. This gives me valuable insight and means I am patient and understanding of the many challenges that come with learning a new language. I'm also well-travelled and enjoy learning about new cultures.
