If you’ve spent time in Thailand, you’ve definitely heard this phrase!  

อะไรก็ได้ (a-rai gɔ̂ɔ dâai) 
Meaning: Anything is fine or I’m okay with whatever.  

We use this when we don’t have a strong preference about food, plans, movies, you name it.  

Example: 

A: จะกินอะไรดี (ja gin a-rai dii) 
What should we eat?  

B: อะไรก็ได้ (a-rai gɔ̂ɔ dâai) 
Anything is fine.  

It sounds easy, right? But in real life, อะไรก็ได้ (a-rai gɔ̂ɔ dâai) can sometimes mean “I actually do have a preference… but I don’t want to decide.” Very Thai. Very real. 😁
