Age limits in the professional world

Here in the United States, we currently have the oldest president we've ever had. Donald Trump became the oldest first-term president in American history at the age of 73 while his competitors are also in their 70s. Are political leaders usually this old in your country? Some people, including former president Jimmy Carter, have suggested that there be an age limit. After being asked if the 94-year-old would consider running for a second term, he said, "I hope there is an age limit. You know, if I were just 80 years old, if I were 15 years younger, I don't believe I could undertake the duties that I experienced when I was President." Questions to consider 1. What's your opinion on the matter? 2. Should the presidency have a maximum age limit? If so, why? 3. Are there other jobs that should have such limits? 4. If we disqualify candidates for a job because of their age, is that automatically ageism? Please leave your opinions in the comments below. I'd love to know your thoughts!
