Audio Not working Properly

Today's lesson had issues with audio not working properly when my teacher and I joined the lesson.    Is there a way to go out of the lesson and restart it without the lesson thinking it is complete?  Today when we tried to exit and restart the lesson it said instead that  it was completed and we had to use other means to complete our lesson outside of verbling. I think when both my teacher and I are making changes to audio settings at the same time it makes it more difficult to isolate were the problem may be...
