Hola a todos!
He notado que es común que los estudiantes confundan las expresiones "estoy caliente" y "tengo calor", pero debes tener MUCHO CUIDADO con esto! Sabes por qué?
En español, estar caliente tiene 2 posibles significados:
1) Estar enojado/ enfadado con alguien.
Ejemplo: Estoy caliente con Juan porque se olvidó nuestra cita. 😡
2) Sentir atracción sexu@l muy fuerte (uso vulgar de la lengua). 🔥🔞
Por otro lado, "tener calor" se refiere a la sensación que tenemos cuando la temperatura está alta, como en este ejemplo: la temperatura está muy alta hoy, por eso tengo calor .

I've noticed that it is common for students to confuse the expressions "estoy caliente" and "tengo calor", but you have to be VERY CAREFUL with this! Do you know why?
In Spanish, "estar caliente" has 2 possible meanings:
1) Being angry with someone.
Example: Estoy caliente con Juan porque se olvidó nuestra cita😡
2) Feeling very strong sexu@l attraction (vulgar use of language). 🔥🔞
On the other hand, "tener calor" refers to the feeling you experience when the temperature is high, as in this example: "la temperatura está muy alta hoy, por eso tengo calor".
