Fatherhood

Fatherhood. What does it mean to be a father?

Being a role model

Being consistent

Not making mistakes

Not disappointing

Sometimes we hold all those up as a gold standard.

But what is more important is:

Showing how we cope with our own weaknesses

Rethinking and reconsidering

Admitting when we were wrong and trying to make up for mistakes

Being prepared to disappoint, in order to take care of the big picture

But most importantly, I think fatherhood is about being there, learning from each other and treasuring the moments we have together.
