Fine dining or fun dining?

This week I have another piece of news for you from the Polski Daily!

Did you know that in Poland until now, only 3 restaurants have ever received the Michelin star? One of them, the most famous one, is Atelier Amaro, located in Warsaw, where the head chef is Modest Amaro. His real name is Wojciech Basiura (which sounds a lot more Polish, right? :D) from Sosnowiec! Before he opened his own restaurant, he learnt and worked together with chefs like Alain Ducasse, Yannick Alléno or Ferran Adrià!
Unfortunately, due to pandemic, Atelier has been closed last year and nobody knows if they ever open back again...

Another Michelin star awarded restaurant, which because of its last year’s lock down has lost the award, is Warsaw’s place called Senses. They came back this year and they serve their amazing food again, so there is a chance they’re going to get the star back in 2022 (so for the year 2021).

And last year’s total hit surprise is the 3rd, new and unexpectedly Michelin awarded place, that’s also the 1st one that’s been awarded outside of Warsaw – in Kraków! The restaurant Bottiglieria 1881!

And here is what the creators of Bottiglieria say about themselves:
„There is five of us but we only have two burners in the kitchen. We all ride bikes to work, we harvest the herbs by the Wisła river, and at the back we put in a chin-up bar. - The dishes in Bottiglieria are two-three ingredients tops. That’s it. We run the menu based on what’s achievable for us. Fancy equipment is not needed. What counts is a good team!”

That sounds really encouraging! I dream that maybe one day I’ll go there! ;)

Cheers!
