Following...

Hello everyone, I have a few students who are 'following' me, unfortunately I don't really understand what that means. Have they viewed my profile and liked it? Am I supposed to follow up and get in touch with them?
There isn't a great deal of info about how this platform works and as far as I can see no one you can e-mail to for enquires...or maybe I haven't seen it.
