German Word of the Day (3) "Handy" (Cell Phone)
5 years agoA "Handy" is the German name for a mobile phone.
You put it in your hand ("Hand" in German: "die Hand"). So you have the word: Hand-Handy.
If you ask somebody for a cell phone number it is: "Gib mir bitte deine Handynummer."
