How does the Covid-19 virus affect you? Let us not loose our connection.

Hi there Teachers and Students alike,

I would like to open a discussion for us all to see how the Covid-19 is affecting each of us, around the world. I would like you to share stories, feelings, fears, perspectives on the virus and what it means for the future of our world and what we can learn from it.

If you would like, feel free to contact me directly and we can chat.

Where are you?
How are you feeling today?
What are your thoughts on the virus and how it is impacting the world?

I am in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Today I am feeling alright - we are in Autumn here so it is flu season and the pollen in the air gives me a runny nose and a sneeze, which can be frightening in these times. I have not been able to go to the doctor yet as they are fully booked or not at work, but I am sure that I am alright - I feel healthy, just with a reaction to pollen.

My thoughts about the virus are that even though it is detrimental to the economy - it has given humanity time to rest, time to focus on things other than work and being busy. Families are forced to spend more time together, not being distracted. We now have time to focus on the things that are important to us.

Let this be a reminder that the economy is not always going to be there for us, it breaks... We need to be creating a life that is not extremely affected by the break of the economy.

Connect, comment, thnk - Let's discuss the future after Covid-19

All the best,
Kyla
