In this discussion post series, I answer the questions I get asked by students most often.

This question is probably my top question. What can I do to learn English faster?
My Answer
The best way to learn English faster is to speak and listen more and to read and write more. Here are 3 super-easy ways to do just that.
- Communicate in English: If you live with other people, ask them to speak English with you. Set your phone to English. Get an English pen pal. Use an English planner and write in it in English. Take lessons in English (even lessons in other subjects).
- Listen to English: Tune in to English podcasts, videos, movies, and music... even if they're just in the background. English in the background, even if you're not actively listening, helps with pronunciation, new vocabulary, phrasing, and more. Need suggestions of what to listen to? I offer tons of suggestions in my lessons, to save you the trouble of searching it all out.
- Read in English: Read books, blogs, recipes, instructions, ingredients... anything you can. Read levelled readers, if you like. And if you don't feel like reading books, watch your reading: read the subtitles on TV shows and songs - turn the sound off, if you like, for a fuller reading experience.
