A/V + ㄴ/은/는 편이다 It is used to make coarse expression of what category something belongs to

A/V + ㄴ/은/는 편이다 shows a tendency to do or be something. It is less direct than using just the verb/adjective by itself. It can function in the same way as ‘kind of’, ‘relatively’, ‘quite’ etc:

The expression that comes out from time to time in Korean dramas.
그 사람은 성격은 좋은데 오지랖이 넓은 편이야.

오지랖이 넓다 :
be meddlesome; poke [stick] one's nose into sth; have a finger in every pie
be nosy
