IELTS Mind mapping skills are essential!

Have you ever asked yourself, why you can't get the IELTS speaking scores that you want, You might have thought it could be that you just can't do it because you don't know how to use more complex sentence structures, or haven't learned new vocabulary. To tell you the truth, in many cases, it's about the planning and structuring of your answers for each Part.

Using the A R E method for Part 1 of the speaking IELTS
Answer Reason Example, This structure will always be the best way to answer a Part 1 question. try to not over-think, just engage in a general conversation, avoid giving a speech, use natural intonation, and speak as though you are having a conversation with a friend.

How to answer part 2 and the planning.
Part 2 seems to be the most difficult part for people to prepare for, and in fact, it's quite simple, just try to answer as if you are engaging in a conversation, keeping in mind that you will be answering the What, Who, Where, When, and How and Why. Use linking words and keep within the sequence of the question.

Do NOT prepare answers!
To put things in perspective, we as examiners want to see how you would communicate in real-life situations, and many times candidates think that preparing an answer is the key, unfortunately, it's not, as an examiner myself, we notice immediately when someone has prepared answers and this could then affect your scores.

Mind mapping
Try mind-mapping, especially in Part 2, as you only have a minute to prepare for this part, Drawing a diagram, and writing only keywords will help you to stay on track and focus more on the sequence of the question.
