IELTS TEST QUESTION
5 years agoOne more IELTS-question (TRUE / FALSE / NOT GIVEN) that appears to be more like of some IQ-tests rather than an English language test. Сutty Sark is a 19-century sailing ship. It was used to deliver tea from China to Britain. The question asks whether Cutty Sark was given the name of a character in a poem. The part of the passage that has the answer states that a witch was called Nannie, and she was wearing a ‘cutty sark’. Even if Cutty Sark was given the name of Cutty Sark because it was the character in a poem it wasn’t the character’s name it was the characters NICKNAME. What do you think? What answer would you give? Why?
