Insights into Learning English - Patience and Practice = Progress.

Learning to use a new language properly is complicated. Some parts are easier to learn than others.

There are 3 main reasons why some parts are easier:
1. The language itself - Some words or phrases are used more often. It's easier to learn things you hear a lot. Some are also similar in your first language.
2. The situation - Some ways of speaking are easier in simple or casual situations, like with friends. Formal situations with new people are harder.
3. The learner - If you already know some of it, it's easier to learn more. If you don't know much yet, it's harder.

So learning to speak and understand others is not straightforward. Some parts come faster, some slower.

In the future, researchers should look at how these 3 reasons work together to make learning complicated. And how people learn through real conversations, not just textbooks.

The main idea is that language learning has ups and downs. Some parts are fast, some slow. It depends on the words, the situation and the learner. So depending on how you learn, how often you can practice, how consistently you use English in every and all your situations if possible, you can expect to make relative progress. Patience and Practice = Progress.
