      on time vs in time

      Hello!

What is the essential difference between 'on time' and 'in time'?

      1) Despite technical problems, the flight left on time / in time.
      2) The match started at 7 pm and Jack arrived just on time / in time or the kick-off.

Which word do I have to use and why?

      Thank you!
