Oral and Nasal Vowels in English

If you are interested in pronunciation, it's important to understand the sounds of English. 

Nasal vowels are created when air passes through the nose as well as the mouth whereas oral vowels are passed only through the mouth. 

Try this:
Pinch your nose while saying the words below. If you're making the right sounds, you'll notice that the words sound no different for the words in column in A, but it makes a big difference for the words in column B.
