Should I learn Swahili?

The answer to this question is yes. Not because of my bias as a teacher, but because it is one of, if not, the most spoken language in Africa across the continent. If you're looking to travel here, chances are that you will find someone who speaks Swahili. In places like Congo, Uganda, Kenya, Somali, and Ethiopia, where their main language is not Swahili, it is still used and spoken there. Many other places in Africa are also like this.

In essence, Swahili is one of the most important languages to know if you're traveling to Africa, especially East Africa. It will definitely come in handy whenever you've decided to visit - trust me!
