What superstitions are there in your country? 

It is a fun topic that I frequently use when talking about conditionals. It is helpful for practising grammar and for learning about each other's cultural aspects. 

In Mexico people say that if your ears are buzzing, that's because someone is talking negatively about you. Or there is another one: if someone sweeps your feet, you will never get married.
