The digital communications revolution has allowed access to a variety of voices and accents that students would never experience in a traditional classroom. These digital communication tools offer students the opportunity to work on their own to develop their listening skills. Helping students to choose among all the available tools and materials in order to develop their listening and communication skills more effectively should be counted among the services language teachers can provide.
