The difference between ''Ceci'' and ''Cela''

Hello Verbling! 

Here is a quick lesson that I'll be teaching one of my students tonight.
    
Ceci indique,par opposition à cela, la chose la plus proche de celui qui parle.
Ceci is used to point at the closest object.

  ex:   
Ceci est à moi, cela est à toi.    

I would say that they are almost similar to ''This'' and ''that''.

Ceci s'emploie pour annoncer ce qui va suivre.
 Ecoutez bien ceci : ....

Cela fait référence à ce qui précède.
 Il est très en retard, cela m'inquiète. 

ça = cela mais s'emploie dans le langage parlé.
