يَقَعُ نَهْرُ النِّيلِ فِي شَرْقِ أفْرِيقْيَا، وُيُعَدُّ أطْوَلَ نَهْرٍ فِي الْعَالَمِ، حَيْثُ يَمُرُّ بِعَشْرِ دُوَلٍ أفْرِيقِيَّةٍ.
El Nilo está situado en el este de África, y es considerado el río más largo del mundo, que pasa a través de diez países africanos.

وَيَمُرُّ بِعَشْرِ دُوَلٍ أفْرِيقِيَّةٍ، وَيُغَطِّي حَوْضُهُ مَسَاحَةَ 3.4 مَلَايِينَ كِيلُومِتْرٍ مُرَبَّعٍ. وَقَدْ أَدَّى الشُّرُوعُ فِي بِنَاءِ سَدٍّ عَلَى النَّهْرِ فِي إثْيُوبْيَا إِلَى مَخَاوِفَ مِنْ تَأَثُّرِ حِصَّةِ مِصْرَ مِنْ مِيَاهِ النِّيلِ.

يَتَكَوَّنُ نَهْرُ النِّيلِ مِنْ رَافِدَيْنِ هُمَا: النِّيلُ الْأَبْيَضُ، وَيَنْبُعُ مِنْ هَضَبَةِ الْبُحَيْرَاتِ (بُحَيْرَة فِيكْتُورْيَا)، وَالنِّيلُ الْأَزْرَقُ وَيَبْدَأُ مِنْ إثْيُوبْيَا، وَيُشَكّلُ 85% مِنَ الْمِيَاهِ الْمُغَذِّيَةِ لِنَهْرِ النِّيلِ.
El Río Nilo se compone de dos afluentes: el Nilo Blanco, y se deriva de los lagos de la meseta (Lago Victoria), y el Nilo Azul comienza desde Etiopía, y constituyen el 85% de las aguas que alimenta el río Nilo.

وَتُعْتَبَرُ بُحَيْرَةُ فِيكْتُورْيَا الْمَصْدَرَ الْأَسَاسِيَّ لِمِيَاهِ النِّيلِ الْأَبْيَضِ وَهِيَ ثَانِي أَكْبَرِ بُحَيْرَةٍ عَذْبَةٍ فِي الْعَالَمِ.
Lago Victoria es la principal fuente de las aguas del Nilo Blanco y es el segundo mayor lago de agua dulce en el mundo.
