Tongue Twisters

Do you have trouble with pronouncing words in English? If so, have you ever tried tongue twisters? Well, if not, then here is your chance to do so.

Try this one:

Betty Botter bought some butter, "But," she said, "this butter's bitter. If I bake this bitter butter, It will make my batter bitter. But a bit of better butter - That would make my batter better." So she bought a bit of butter, Better than her bitter butter, And she baked it in her batter, And the batter was not bitter. So 'twas better Betty Botter Bought a bit of better butter.

The faster you can say this without faltering, the better your pronunciation becomes. Remember there are tongue twisters in English for just about any sound you are having trouble making. Once you find the one that gives you trouble, depending on your native language, then practice saying the tongue twister in the mirror each day, and watch how your mouth moves to make the sound needed.

Good luck! Any other questions or if you would like to practice, contact me!
