Vocabulary boost: Senses: Smell adjectives
6 years agoTo enlarge your repertoire of adjectives for the sense of smell:
- Study these common pairings of adjectives and nouns, studying also the pronunciation.
- Play this matching game; and
- Take this test.
When you look at the study tool, know that the adjectives can accompany different nouns in the same tool. However, I paired them as I did to create a memory hack for you.
For example, you can use the adjective stinky to describe a certain kind of tofu OR feet OR some cheese, but I chose to pair stinky with tofu for memory retention.
Stinky tofu smells as bad as stinky feet, but it tastes as delicious as stinky cheese. Or so I am told. :-)
