What kind of teacher are you looking for
6 years agoAs a teacher and someone who really takes pride and mastering my craft, I would love to believe in my heart my method or style of teaching should be placed in the hall of fame of academia. But what I have discovered over twenty years of teaching is that my perception is definitely not the students reality. Don't get me wrong, I am good at what I do when it comes to connecting with the students. But I often wonder, what do the students really think? What style really suits the students needs? And, am I the right fit for that student?
I know that I love very exciting and loud classes that is just over the top. I say that because I have never been a fan of the dull classroom setting taught by the dry eyed professor from Ferris Bueller's Day off (see this movie).
So with all of that said, what kind of teacher do you desire and what is your preferred learning style?
