Youtubers to practice Spanish for upper intermediate/advanced

6 年前
Hey everyone! I'm an English teacher on here, but I also speak Spanish. I have been living in Spain for two years now. One thing I love doing is finding Spanish-speaking vloggers and subscribing to their channels. That way, I am regularly listening to the language as their videos pop up in my feed. This is recommendable for any upper-intermediate to advanced level student of any language. It's one of the easiest ways I practice my listening.

Here are a few of my favorite channels. Just to note that most of these people aren't teachers ... they're just regular people making content in their native language.

- Hola Sunshine: Marisol is a Mexican vlogger who does storytime videos, makeup videos and travel vlogs. I think I follow her because she seems like someone I'd be friends with in real life: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6QA_qg9-Uy7D3kCqIsurIQ
- Mi Familia Guiri: This channel is about an international family. Sarah (an American from the US in Spain like me) married Sergio, a Spaniard. They live in Madrid and have two adorable little boys and a girl on the way. I think I love this channel because I can relate to Sarah and her experiences. Her Spanish is also PHENOMENAL. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBMr05osxyfxznkJnNGIH3g/videos
- Superholly: This woman has such an interesting life. She's from the US, but her dad did a lot of work in Mexico when she was a child, so she basically grew up between both cultures. She makes videos in both languages. Some are actual Spanish lessons, some are story times and some are travel diaries. https://www.youtube.com/user/superhollyvideos
- El Tarro de Idiomas: This is a new girl I recently subscribed to. She basically does what I do except with Spanish in England. She's a Spaniard Spanish teacher in the public school system in the UK. She makes videos in Spanish about different teaching techniques and materials, however any teacher could implement her ideas. https://www.youtube.com/user/MurphysLawFactory
- Abi Power: This vlogger is from the wonderful Andalucía region, where I lived for two years. The accent down there can be hard to understand, which is actually why I recommend her. When practicing a language, I really think it's good to get used to different accents. Plus her content is fun. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7_nGvGO-dnxOBFj4CcDD7A
- HolaSoyGerman: I will admit that I don't watch him as much. He is known for speaking fast, so great practice! https://www.youtube.com/user/HolaSoyGerman/featured

Those are just a few. If you have any other Spanish channels or Hispanic youtbers I should follow, please let me know! Thanks!
