I tought in Egypt in the University of Cairo and the French cultural institute. In 2017 I moved to Italy, I got my PhD at University La Sapienza. Now I work at the Catholic University of the Sacred Hearted, and Turin University. Teaching Arabic isn't just a profession I do to earn my keep. It's something I enjoy. I was born to a Tunisian father and a Moroccan mother, and that Tunisian-Moroccan-French "cocktail" we speak at home never ceased to amaze me as a kid. I grew up with a thirst for languages, and I was quite taken by how diverse the Arabic language is, so I chose it as my major in university. Dictionaries, Fus'ha, dialects, diglossia, classical Arabic, etymology, loanwords, historical linguistics: that's where I enjoy the most.
