I’m a Costa Rican Spanish teacher for 15 years who loves languages. I have a Masters degree in Education, with an emphasis on Spanish as a second language, and I'm also a certified professor with DELE. Besides my first language (Spanish), I speak English, Italian, Portuguese and I have studied German at a basic level. I enjoy being a teacher and a student at the same time because learning is a never ending process. I was born in San José, Costa Rica and I have traveled to Mexico several times, to Colombia, Cuba, Guatemala, Honduras and Panamá. I discover I wanted to be a full time teacher when I moved to Poland and started teaching sporadically. After I came back to Spain I took a course on teaching skills and started to teach independently. And I loved it! The more I taught the more I liked. I still love teaching cause I understand my culture better and the way Spanish people think. I find that fascinating. To me, explaining why we would say things in a certain way because of our culture is the best bit. Be sure you will always have contact with the real culture during our lessons. I usually take a coaching approach. That means we will set goals and every week we will review what we've done so far and what we can do next.
