Hello everyone! Since you're probably here to choose a teacher from among hundreds, let me share a helpful tip: one of the strongest signs of of student satisfaction is the average number of lessons per student. How do you calculate it? Simply divide the total number of lessons a teacher has given by the number of students who have taken at least a second class. Verbling is especially helpful here, as it’s the only platform that clearly displays this statistic on each teacher’s profile. (In my case, you’ll see I have around 56 lessons per student: this number is calculated by Verbling, taking into account only those students who took at least one class after the trial class) To sum up: if you avoid teachers with a low average, you're much more likely to enjoy a positive and rewarding learning experience. Wishing you all the best in your learning journey — and if you choose me, see you soon! 🤗 About me Hello! My name is Valerio, and I’m a native Italian speaker, born and raised in...

🇮🇹 Italian teacher & conservatory-trained jazz vocalist · Palermo 🎵 Ciao! I'm Ruggero, an Italian language teacher and a jazz vocalist trained at the Conservatory of Palermo (Diploma cum laude in Jazz Voice, 2017). I've been teaching Italian online since 2016 — more than 3,500 one-to-one lessons with adults from thirty different countries. I hold a degree in Translation & Italian as a Second Language and a certification from the University for Foreigners of Perugia. I love teaching my language and culture, and I bring real attention, energy and creativity to every lesson. My background as a professional jazz singer also helps me guide students through the sounds and rhythm of Italian pronunciation — the music of the language. During my lessons I focus mainly on conversation, adapting the speed and complexity of my speech to each student's level. Even if it takes a whole hour just to master "Buongiorno", that's perfectly fine. I keep lessons dynamic and engaging by using a variety ...

Hello my name is Ettore and I was born in the beautiful Florence, in Italy. I love teaching! I like to share my knowledge with people who need it and, at the same time, learn from everybody. This is the meaning of life! I have a master's degree in teaching at the Giovanni Pascoli School. I have been teaching Italian for many years to foreigners in Florence, working for a voluntary association, and also at the UAM (Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana) in Mexico city and Aguascalientes, Mexico. In 2017 and 2018 I taught Italian in Australia. I have shaped my teaching over time by having to teach people from 5 to 70 in many different situations, face to face, online, in schools, in neighborhoods, in villages, in associations, even in different kinds of churches and recreational clubs, using the most effective teaching approach based on the situation. Right now I am in Thailand, where I keep going to teach on different online platforms where I also teach photography and video shooting, ...

INTERACTIVE SUPPORT MATERIAL Hi, I'm Federica from Rome. I have a degree in Italian Language and Literature and a master in Communication Theories. I'm DITALS certified (Teaching of Italian as a Foreign Language). I'm a mother tongue teacher of Italian and using the communicative method, that aims at developing and privileging the communicative skills of the student. In this new perspective, knowing a language means being able to carry out communicative actions to accomplish a goal. It’s a method that makes learning easier and faster. I also use the completely free and interactive support material I tailored for our online lessons and a test to evaluate your level of Italian competence. This material, divided into units, will help you during the lesson and we will use it for the exercises. In each unit, the student learns to carry out one or more communication actions and exercises with conversation (which i leave plenty of room for), grammar, listening, pronunciation and w...

I was preparing a lesson for a student of mine, when I found myself struggling with a translation. The word was “cavare”. «Pull out» I thought. But then… was there a better word? “Cavare”, in Italian, doesn’t only mean “to pull out”, that would be “estrarre”, “tirar fuori”, “rimuovere” or something else. “Cavare” has the word “cavità” (cavity) in it. “Cavare” means “to extract from a cavity”, “to remove and leave a cavity” and I couldn’t find a single word in English that suited the perfect meaning. This happens to me all the time, as I speak three languages daily and I am a “word perfectionist”: I am fascinated by the meaning that every word can have, those little shades of significance that can only be understood by those who profoundly study a language. And that is what I do: I study, all the time, to speak each of my three languages at its best, and I teach, to make my students learn properly the meaning of words and their best combination. My name is Cindy and I am a langua...
