I love teaching and most of all I love to share and exchange cultural experiences with my students. Hello everyone, my name is Fernando from Peru. I am a Ph.D. candidate in Hispanic Studies at McGill University. I have been a Spanish teacher for over thirteen years in Cusco, Peru, and multiple online platforms. My classes not only focus on learning the language's grammar but also on developing communication skills. I am a published writer and have instructed courses in Latin American literature, art and culture, tools I use to enrich classes and student learning.

I am from Costa Rica a country very popular to visit for its beautiful beaches and that is why in my free time I love to go to the beach with my friends, I love meeting fun people who like to socialize and share, I love watching movies on Netflix. I have been spending the past few years teaching Spanish as a second language to many people from around the world, and I am so glad to be apart of the Verbling teaching crew! In my lessons I would like to talk about any topic that is of interest to you, be it the family, places you have visited or the traditional foods from your country or from mine, thus covering informal conversation that allows us to see well what needs to be corrected. My teaching style is for my students to learn lots of vocabulary so that it is easier for them to have conversations and to know well how and when to use it, also to be able to form sentences.
