I have been working as a professional English teacher for 16 years full- time. I have also taught Spanish, French, and Italian. I have a bachelor's degree (B.A.) from the University of California in Language, worked with the United States Peace Corps in Africa as an English teacher, and also with the Cambridge School international school-system. I am a qualified teacher and have ESL, TOESL and TEFL certificates. I am also IELTS exam trained. At this time I work with intermediate to advanced speakers looking to expand their skills. My name is Jeff and I teach conversation, grammar, reading comprehension, writing, and SAT/ACT/SSAT/HSPT prep. From 1998 to April 2003, I lived in Taipei, Taiwan, teaching ESL and studyingMandarin. After leaving Taiwan, I moved on to Honolulu, where I again found employment as an ESL instructor. This stint was brief because of my desire to attend graduate school in San Francisco, where I studied Mandarin and began teaching test prep.
