Hi I'm Sayoko! 😊Calm, patient and friendly certified tutor with 8 years of experience 🎓 Fluent in English 💛I love teaching beginners!!🌍 I've lived in U.K., U.S.A., and Australia😊I mainly use Genki textbook. 🗾 Born in Tokyo, speak standard accent.🧳 25 years of experience as a translator of children’s book from English to Japanese.👨🏻‍🎓 Completed 420-hour Japanese teacher training course😊 Taught over 2000 online lessons ( at Verbling, Preply and other platforms ) For beginners: I teach Hiragana and Katakana using Padlet, PDFs, PowerPoint, and Flashcards. After that, we move on to the Genki textbook to study sentence structure and grammar. I often use audio resources to help you get used to natural speaking speed and intonation. I also use the Shadowing method. *Shadowing is a practice method in which a person listens to the audio and follows immediately what s/he hears, like a ‘shadow’ as faithfully as possible by voicing it. Hello! My name is Miwa, and my family home is on Sado Island, a small and beautiful island in Japan. My father’s family has been rice farmers there for over 200 years. It’s a peaceful village where people live close to nature, helping each other with rice and vegetable farming. Every year, the community holds a traditional festival at the local shrine to pray for a good harvest—one of the traditions I treasure deeply. Now I live in Auckland, New Zealand, where I experience very different cultures and values. Living abroad has deepened my appreciation for Japan, and I would love to share not only the Japanese language but also our daily life, culture, and values with you. I have been teaching Japanese for over 7 years, working with both beginners and advanced learners from all over the world. I offer one-on-one lessons and group classes, and I always tailor lessons to each student’s level, interests, and goals. For beginners, I use my own original materials to make learning easy a...

(Español abajo/Português em baixo) Hi, I'm Azumi from Yokohama, Japan. I can teach you Japanese in English, Spanish and Portuguese! I was born in Tokyo, raised in Yokohama and schooled in Vancouver, Canada. I have taught Japanese since 2004 in 3 different countries: Canada, Colombia and Brasil. I teach from beginner's levels to preps for Japanese Language Proficiency Exam (JLPT) levels N5-N1 or the exams for the scholarships offered by the Japanese Embassy, called MEXT. I have many students who have passed N1 and N2, won the MEXT scholarships and are studying or working in Japan! I also worked in Colombia as a Japanese-English-Spanish translator and interpreter for 10 years, mainly in international technical cooperation projects. The strength in my teaching is that I can explain Japanese grammar with comparisons to English, Spanish or Portuguese. When a student asks a question about Japanese, seldom do I say "because that's how it works". I can provide you a clear explanation for ev...

Over 7000 hours of private Japanese lesson experience with over 200 students. Let me share my passion for languages with you. I am a native Japanese speaker who has lived around the world. As an adult, I learned English and Spanish, and now I'm also studying Chinese and Russian. For beginners, I find it best to start by learning basic grammar and vocabulary. For intermediate level and above, it depends on your preference, we can focus on conversation or working on JLPT exam, read news articles together, etc. I have over 7 years of experience working for Japanese and American financial firms in Tokyo's financial district. Much of that experience involved verbal and written translation between senior Japanese and American business people. If you are starting a new job with a Japanese firm, or have a temporary posting in Japan, I can help you prepare with the language and skills necessary to succeed!

✨ LIMITED AVAILABILITY ✨ Hi there! Welcome to my (Kazukosan's) profile! Just imagine watching that anime without the subtitles. Simply spectacular! マジでいい! I believe strengthening listening comprehension skills is the key to navigate language with confidence. My passion is to assist my students to listen to the Japanese language through anime, movies, news clips, YouTube videos and help achieve their goals. こんにちは。I'm a native Japanese speaker. I live in Osaka. I am a mother of 2 kids. I attended Osaka University where I majored in Japanese teaching. In the university, I studied how to teach Japanese to foreign people. I think the most important thing is to relax and enjoy the lessons. After graduating, I worked for a localization division of a Japanese Game Publisher in Osaka for a period of 13 years. My duties involved the translation (from English to Japanese) of in-game content and manual booklets for more than 100 games. I understand there are many Japanese phrases that cannot be translated literally to your language. Also, Keigo (Honorific) may be complicating. I'd like to think with you what is the best way to learn the language for you. It may be to read Japanese manga (comic books), to watch Japanese movies, or to discuss some topics of Japanese newspapers.
