Hello! Nice to meet you — I’m Mariko.
I was born and raised in Tokyo and speak standard Japanese. I am a certified Japanese language teacher.
I taught Japanese at a language school in Tokyo for three years and now offer online lessons.
In addition to Japanese, I speak English, Chinese, and a little Italian. I have also worked for many years in the travel industry and on World Expo projects in Shanghai, Milan, and Osaka.
Learning a new language is exciting, though sometimes challenging.
What inspired you to start learning Japanese?
I’d love to hear your story — please feel free to share.

★ About My Lessons ★
Beginners are very welcome, including those learning Japanese for the first time
Lessons are available for:
・Hiragana & Katakana
・Beginner / Intermediate
・Business Japanese
・Textbook-based lessons are available
(e.g. Minna no Nihongo, Marugoto, Genki, Nihongo Fun & Easy)
・Conversation lessons are also offered
Through conversation, you can learn correct grammar, useful vocabulary, and natural expressions.
※Lessons are mainly conducted in Japanese.
If something is difficult to understand, I can explain it in English or Italian, so please don’t worry.
※ Lessons may include a short break of up to 5 minutes.
【Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy】
If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please let me know as soon as possible.
Cancellations or schedule changes made within 24 hours of the lesson will be charged the full lesson fee.
