I am a Maryland native who comes from and lives in a community where English is often not the first spoken language! For me, it's most important that you feel comfortable in my classroom. I want it to be safe and fun for you to learn! I have a music background, so music is more than welcome with me. I'm not afraid to be a little goofy, either-- whatever works best for you!
I currently teach students from all over the world, so no matter the age, I've got you covered. I teach 6 year olds all the way to 18 year olds in the classroom, and have taught anywhere from 18 to 70 online. I can set you up with flashcards and we can work through worksheets or workbooks, or we can do full-on immersion style classes where we discuss different every-day topics while I correct your mistakes. Again, whatever works best for you!
In the past, I have worked in and out of music classrooms, and have extended experience with students who suffer from severe disabilities. I taught in India for one year, and taught young Indian students online for a following year.
We all have our own languages to speak-- the best part of being human is communicating, so let me help you learn to do so in English!
