I'm a professional English teacher. I have a TEFL qualification and I have been teaching since 1999. My career started in Japan where I was a conversational English teacher. Within a year I had become the headmaster of a private English school serving 400 students. In 2014 I returned to the UK where I established an online presence. In 2016 I became an MBA consultant preparing students for the rigorous admissions test and interview. If you are preparing for the VIVA interview, I can help with that too. I'm a published author with many years experience proofreading. I'd be happy to have a look at your essays. I am very patient, and you can ask me all the questions you want, as many times as you want, until you understand very well. Let me know what you need and how I can help you, and I will be here for you. I will do my best to help you achieve your goals of becoming fluent in English. I'll introduce a bit more information about me. I am British and I live in Bournemouth. I'm a B1 speaker of Japanese. After a career in the civil service in England, I travelled to New Zealand where I resided for 8 years. I attended university there and studied computer science at Massey University. In New Zealand and then moved into the private sector where I gained experience in the technology market and the insurance industry. In 1998, I resumed my education and took a CELTA course to pursue a dream of teaching English in Japan. After gaining some experience in a school in Saitama, I opened my own schools in Chiba and Tokyo and became a registered Japanese corporation. I employed 10 Japanese support staff and several foreign teachers. I ran those schools for 16 years and taught hundreds of students of all ages and levels. In my downtime, I like to watch movies and read books. I’m the author of the book Fluency Secrets and I’m writing some new books on English language study. I love mountain biking, running and swimming. One day I would like to do a triathlon. See you online!

I am from America and have been teaching English for several years. My focus is Pronunciation, Accent Reduction, IELTS, Business English, Preparation for Job Interviews, Simple Conversation and Public Speaking for intermediate and advanced students. "Practice makes perfect," and increases self confidence in order to feel comfortable in a conversation with a native English speaker. I would like to work with you on your goals, and be a catalyst for you to move forward in your dream. Learning a language is not just about the text book, but it is also about having fun in our lessons, where we can both work together in a partnership to achieve a common goal and see improvement. If this is what you are looking for, then I invite you to schedule a lesson with me. I now live in Southeast Asia and work with students of all ages and levels. My TEFL with a TESOL Level 4 certificate has enabled me to work in universities, as well as with business owners. Working with students of the same culture has given me the insight to compare the languages and understand why certain sounds are more difficult. It's all about retraining the brain. Breaking the old habit, coming in with the new. Learning how the tongue, lips and jaw should work together in unison for clear pronunciation. In America, I worked with an adult learning class where students were from many countries. Tweaking my ears for several pronunciation differences, because of various cultures present in one class, I gained the experience of listening to numerous accents and learning about their differences in understanding letters, sounds and the how to of correct pronunciation. I have an extensive background in social services, health care and fitness, and the healing arts. I volunteered with the Peace Corps in Honduras, Central America and was immersed in their culture and learned Spanish. I understand the difficulty of learning a language and how frustrating it can be when they still don't understand you!:-) I now am learning Vietnamese, and it is not easy!:-) It is important in learning any language, to have confidence in order to take the step to speak with a foreigner. I am here to motivate and inspire you to take you to the next level.  Share with me your goals and motivations. Is this for a job interview, IELTS test, conversation, business needs, or public speaking?  We will talk about the fears of speaking, and get you up to speed with better pronunciation so you will feel more confident.  Set up a schedule, understanding your timeline, if there is one.  Create an Action Plan I want to help you to feel confident in speaking clearly and loudly, so others can hear you! I will do my best to give you all the tools you need to progress and feel confident in any situation. Looking forward to working with you!

**Attention: Please read Trial Class Disclaimer below** My name is Stewart, I am 29 years old and I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas! I studied screenwriting (Writing for Film and TV) while in college and had the fun experience of working on a couple TV shows and Movies. I've moved on from that life, but I'm still a very active movie/television viewer. Please send me a message first before you book a class so we can get to know each other. Even after our sessions are complete I like to talk with students, so feel free to message me if you need anything. If you have any questions, requests, scheduling issues, or just want to chat, let me know :-) PLEASE FOLLOW ME! I message coupons to my followers. Hurray! I provided a buy 5 get 1 Free coupon in my profile for new Verbling students. Please don't forget to use this :-) ______________________________________________________________________ Trial Lessons Disclaimer Due to a large number of people being absent for their trial lessons recently, I will no longer allow a reschedule of the trial lesson for free if you do not arrive without advanced warning. If you are absent for a lesson you can still request a 50% coupon for another 30 minute lesson or purchase a 1 hour lesson. "Why? I paid for it! I DEMAND YOU TO GIVE ME A TRIAL!!!" Woah! Woah! I understand your frustration :-) But, it's because this is my job and you paid for a specific time to receive my AMAZING services as an AMAZING teacher. I have a super busy schedule and other genius students who might want the same time you scheduled. So if you do not arrive then that's your fault, not mine. I hope you understand. I'm not trying to be mean. I only want to make you happy. Please don't be angry at me my eager new student! :-) :-) :-) Please make sure you remember to arrive on time for your trial lesson, make sure your Verbling clock is correct, make sure you did not confuse AM/PM when scheduling the lesson, and please check your webcam & microphone function properly before the lesson. Thank you! _______________________________________________________________________ Reviews from some of my super students :-) Aliya - United States/China — December 5, 2015 I even do not know how to put words into it, he just awesome!!! Helen - United States/China — June 25, 2016 My kid have had two classes with teacher Stewart, and she likes him a lot! After every class, Stewart sent messages with a very nice summary about what he taught, and what my daughter needs to improve and the schedule for the following class. I really like the way he taught my daughter and appreciate it. Strongly recommend him to young kids:) Julia ChenJung - Taiwan — July 21, 2016 My teacher is funny, I like talking with him and create stories together. André - Brazil — December 17, 2015 Stewart is THE MASTER!!! Allen - China — August 14, 2016 Stewart is a very good teacher, very patient, always prepared for each student. The content is very suitable and exciting for my little daughter. Thanks! Bashayer - Saudi Arabia — August 16, 2016 lovely human being and excellent teacher <3 Definitely will book more classes with Stewart. Dany - Costa Rica — October 27, 2015 Stewart is a great and patient teacher, he always prepares an interesting class focusing on what you need or want to improve. I recommend him if you want good quality lessons, feedback and to have some fun too. Hadi - Unites States / Iran — February 26, 2016 Stewart is a perfect teacher. I am very excited about find right teacher for english. He corrects all my wrong sentences. He has a very natural accent and he is very polite. Sergey - Russia — June 1, 2016 Hello Everyone, My name is Sergey and I am from Russia. I have been taking classes with Stewart since October 2015. My goal is to get 7 band score at the speaking part of the IELTS exam so every lesson we try to practice speaking as much as possible. The speaking part consists of 3 sections. You should be able to speak on familiar topics such as your job or hobby (section 1), describe something(section 2) and answer more complicated questions (section 3). Usually, we begin our lesson with a short talk about things going and then discuss the topic of the lesson in detail so our lessons cover all 3 sections of the speaking parts of the IELTS. During the lessons, I write down new vocabulary but after every lesson Stewart send me a brief summary of a new vocabulary, my mistakes and corrections and an audio file with pronunciation. These audios are extremely useful because they help me to improve my pronunciation and memorize new words because I listen to them nearly every day. If I forgot the meaning of the word from the audio then I could revise it in the summary. One of the features of Stewart's lessons is that he gives interesting native speaker vocabulary. I guarantee that you are not going to find it in textbooks. On top of that, his lessons are fun :) and I really enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and Stewart's sense of humor :) Recently I took a mock IELTS exam and got 7 for speaking thus I achieved my objective. Nevertheless, I am not going to slack off and hope to improve my score at a real one. I think if you are an open-minded and easy-going person and know your goals then Stewart is your teacher. Your English will never be rusty :) Sincerely, Sergey

*** DON'T WANT TO WAIT?? EAGER TO GET STARTED??*** Send me a message or check my schedule for instant availability and you may be able to start learning English right now. Hi, my name is Jasna and I have been a teacher here on Verbling since 2016. How would you like to learn to speak English from a native speaker? I was raised and educated in Australia where I did a lot of voluntary work as a translator helping new migrants settle in to their new country. I also helped a lot of children adjust to learning in their new English speaking schools. I am now living my European dream and often work with local businesses and non-profit organizations with translation services. But my favorite work is tutoring young students with English to help further their education or for when they decide to travel abroad. In 2016 I completed IELTS Academic Exams with a CEFR C1 result so I can offer first hand advice on what to expect with these much sought after exams. My career in Australia was mainly centered around Finance & Administration, including my own business, which means I have had many years of practice perfecting business communication skills. Whether you would like to learn how to speak English as a hobby, to travel, for study or to communicate better with your business partners I would love to help you achieve your goals. My approach to teaching English is with regular practice and conversations. My hours are flexible and if the standard hours I have set do not meet your requirements, please send me a message and I will do my best to arrange and make available a time that will be suitable for both of us. I hope to be speaking with you soon. *** PLEASE NOTE *** Due to other commitments I have decreased my regular schedule. I will return to my usual availability by the end of August. Please contact me if you need a specific session time and I will do my best to make this time available for you.
