Pick me! My name is Chris and I'm a native English speaker from Nashville, Tennessee. I've always been interested in learning about other cultures and I love meeting people from all over the world. I have more than 3 years of experience teaching all levels of English in every situation you can imagine. A few of my hobbies include traveling, learning about other languages, and making YouTube and Instagram videos for my students. At the moment, I am only teaching adult students who have at least an intermediate level. My mission I want to help my students feel more confident speaking English. Speaking a new language can be scary and frustrating. I'm here to make you feel comfortable as we work together to improve your skills. My focus Grammar, pronunciation, fluency, phrasal verbs, idioms, TOEFL, IELTS, academic writing, and interview preparation are just a few things that we can focus on in our classes. If you have specific goals and preferences, please let me know. My resources Depending on your needs, I have a whole collection of books, websites, podcasts, applications, videos, and exercises that we can use to practice the new topics we discuss. What I need from you In order to have a fun and productive class, you must have the following: 1. an internet connection good enough for video calls 2. a quiet space 3. properly functioning audio 4. a positive attitude for learning!

Hello, and thank you for considering me on your English-learning journey! I teach adults who are of intermediate-advanced level. I do not teach beginners, sorry about that! (It's just because I haven't had the right training for that). My teaching style is relaxed, patient, and engaging. I make lessons comfortable and interesting for students, but I will also correct your mistakes and challenge you. I respect each student's learning style and can adapt to suit different goals and interests. I believe in a natural, simple approach to improving English ability. For example, if you are worried about an upcoming conversation with your new boss, I will take the role of your boss and we will practice that conversation until you feel confident with it. My classes are usually conversation-based. I don't give lecture classes, and I don't have a curriculum or syllabus, but I always end up talking about grammar, idioms, vocabulary, and pronunciation in the process of having a conversation with students. If you have something specific you need to prepare for, such as an upcoming interview or presentation, I can definitely help you with that! I am also happy to answer any questions you have about material you are learning in other English classes or by yourself, and help with document editing/proofreading. I have a lot of travel experience, especially in Asia, Europe, and Mexico, which has made me comfortable relating to all kinds of people. I enjoy getting to know my students' personalities and cultures, and inspiring them to reach for their dreams! A little about me and my interests: I love reading, writing, philosophy, animals, and music (I play violin). I'm currently living a nomadic life, traveling to a different country every 3 months. All the best! -Sylvie

Did you study English for a long time in school, but haven’t used it much since? Do you feel like you can read and listen very well, but when it comes time to speak you can’t express your thoughts? I know it’s hard to truly be yourself in your second language, and I’m here to help by offering friendly conversation practice with crucial corrections and suggestions. I'm a stand up comedian, and I want to help you be confident while speaking English. Because I have a lot of experience with public speaking, I can help you choose the right words and delivery for your next speech or presentation. I had a career in brand development in the past, so if you're learning English for business, I can relate to your stressful, busy lifestyle. I want our lessons to be fun and funny! If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give me as much advance notice as possible! If you don't show up to your lesson, I'll be waiting 15 minutes to see if you are just running late. I prefer the student pay me for this missed time.

Give someone a fish, and feed them for a day. Teach someone to fish, and feed them for a lifetime. Hi, I'm Corrina. I've lived on three continents, studied multiple languages, and shared mine with many wonderful people. I have experience teaching one-on-one, in groups, and exam prep. I hold a certificate from ITTT as well as a Bachelor of Arts from Worcester State University. I employ the use of many audio and visual aids. I believe it is essential to stimulate all four spheres of language; reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Each student brings to the table their own strengths so I pay close attention to growth and proficiency in charting the next steps.

I've been an English as a Second Language teacher for just over three years now. I came to the profession after growing tired of my life in the UK and wanting to live somewhere much warmer than Cornwall, which is a beautiful place but can get very wet. I moved to Spain in 2016 where I've been living ever since, teaching English and trying my hardest to learn the language. As a teacher, I try my best to create a friendly, welcoming space for you to learn English. I know how nerve-wracking it can be as a language learner, no matter what level you are, and so I want you to feel happy and comfortable during our lessons to make mistakes and not feel embarrassed. Making mistakes with me is the best thing you can do as I'll correct you (nicely, of course!) and help you stop making that mistake again. All of this will be done naturally as I don't want anyone to feel overwhelmed by English, particularly when speaking with me. We're in this together after all. My teaching style is relaxed but focused. I want you to feel comfortable talking to be, and I don't want you to dread lessons. I provide homework if you want it, but never feel stressed if you don't have time to do it. It's not the end of the world, and we'll have a productive lesson regardless. Lessons with me are, I hope, like chatting with a friend who corrects you. They're based around one specific topic for each lesson. We can be talking about plastic in the environment one day, and the Game of Thrones episode the next. I will let you know the topic in advance so that you can prepare in advance. If you want it, I'll also provide preparation material. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I hope to hear from you!

Hi there, my name is Daniel and I am an author (my first book is called Someday Now Forever) and TEFL certified English instructor. I have been teaching English online for over 2 years and before that taught English in person in the Philippines. I am a dual American/Canadian citizen, but I grew up in an international community in Manila at a school called Faith Academy. Since graduating high school I've attended university in Germany and Canada and will complete my Bachelor's degree in film production soon. My missions as a teacher is to identify my students English goals and prepare them to meet them through custom tailored lessons. I do as much as I can to boost my students' confidence, because I find that this is often the greatest barrier to success. I enjoy watching my students improve and it is a joy for me to see now as some of my past students are doing well in American universities. PLEASE NOTE: I am not currently accepting student under the age of 16. Thanks so much! I look forward to learning with you.
