If you have little free time, but you find you're struggling to speak English, can't express yourself properly, and you're feeling frustrated. Come on over, and discover that Online English language learning with me can be a great solution and whole lot of fun! I'm an enthusiastic, fun loving, British, TEFL qualified English language teacher who has been working in several primary schools in and around London, England. Since September, I have been teaching online and enjoy the flexibility, mainly working with students from France, Italy and Spain as I'm a fluent French speaker. I am currently teaching students of varying abilities online with the focus on improving fluency, pronunciation, confidence and flow. When you sign up for your trial lesson, I will send you an English level test which will help us know which areas we need to focus on and where your repeated errors are. I take immense pleasure in personalising each lesson and get tremendous joy helping students to improve their English skills in a relaxed environment. Language learning naturally flows better if everyone involved is relaxed; this is what I strive for with my lessons: they are well structured, stimulating, lively; enjoyable and customised to your needs. To help you solidify what you have learned after each lesson, I have a homework verification system in place, which is quick and efficient in measuring your progress. Click on my video introduction to see how to get started. See you soon.

There are many great online English teachers, but not many of them have my experience in art and design. Knowing how to talk about art is a special skill, and I’m happy to share my knowledge with you so that you can express your ideas more effectively in English. I specialize in helping students interested in art and design. I know the vocabulary that art and design students need, and I know the kinds of language tasks that are expected of them, such as critique skills and being able to present their work with confidence. I help students to reach their goals quickly with patience, encouragement, and humor. I'm very organized, friendly, and I have a lot of teaching experience. I've worked with low-, intermediate-, and advanced-level students from many different language backgrounds. I've taught listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, as well as grammar and pronunciation. I know a lot of tools and strategies to help students succeed, and I have many years of experience with creating custom learning materials. If art or design is your passion, I can help you to speak, critique, and write about it in English. I work with clients at beginner, intermediate, and advanced English levels. Check out my courses and video to learn more about what I do!

*** CURRENTLY TAKING ON NEW STUDENTS*** My name is Chris, I’m from London, England, and I love teaching English as a foreign language! I'm a professional teacher who has been teaching since 2012 and I want to make your English learning experience unique and get you to fluency as quickly as possible. After years of experience, research and listening to student’s feedback, I believe that there are 5 principles that make you learn languages fast and effectively: 1. CUSTOMISATION - Learn what you want to learn and get personalised feedback from a professional at the end of a class and in a video within 24 hours of your class. 2. MAKING MISTAKES WITH DELAYED ERROR CORRECTION - Build up your confidence and fluency and find out what wasn’t correct later. Repeat your corrected sentences and vocabulary after class with an audio track. 3. MAXIMISING SPEAKING TIME - Maximise your precious class time by speaking as much as possible and get to fluency more quickly. 4. MOTIVATION - Keep your excitement for learning and avoid those moments when you feel bored of learning. 5. ACCELERATED LEARNING TECHNIQUES - Let me use my skills, activities and games to make your progress quickly in an area of English you are weak in. I’d love to see you in a class if you are considering taking classes with me, and I’d be very happy to help you on your journey into the world English. I’ve had some wonderful first classes and met so many great people throughout the world since I’ve started teaching online, and I’d be delighted if you were one of them. Most people understand what the trial lesson is, but it’s not always clear to everyone. Please just look at the points below to check you know what you are booking. Before your first session starts please consider the following: - Using a microphone with earphones or a headset will give much better sound quality to your lesson. Using computer speakers will probably result in echoing. - Google Chrome seems to be the best browser for Verbling Video. - Doing a test call on Skype with a friend or family member will give you a good idea of how strong your connection is, and if it is sufficient for a class on Verbling. If the speech isn't clear, try turning off the camera. If the speech still isn't clear, try to reconnect. If you are still having problems, upgrade your internet connection. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE TRAIL LESSON IS: - A 30 minutes introduction class. - An opportunity for you to see how the lessons work. - An opportunity for you to ask me any questions. - A way for us to create a plan for your learning goals. - A way to test your internet connection - Occasionally the connection can be problematic for some new online students. - A way to get to know each other. THE TRIAL LESSON IS NOT: - A cheap way for you to get your CV or written work corrected. - A lesson which is focussed on the areas in which you need to improve. - A cheap way to get a 30-minute conversation class with the active intention of not continuing. Of course, if you decide that I am not the right teacher after the class and you wish to find another teacher then that is perfectly fine. N.B. I exercise the right to accept or refuse to give lessons to certain individuals.

My name is Karolina Thomoglou and I have been teaching English to both children and adults for over 16 years in various countries and organizations. With a great deal of blood, sweat and tears (!) I recently built my own online education company which had always been a dream and goal of mine. My love and passion for the English language has been a constant in my life and has over the years developed into a deep interest to help as many language learners reach their learning goals as possible. As an ambassador’s child, I had the privilege and joy of visiting and living in a number of incredible countries and living the life of a nomad! Being born in Switzerland and moving to Canada at the age of 3, English quickly became my native language. My parents, realizing that English would not only be an asset but a necessity growing up in various countries, chose to enroll me in American International schools throughout my school education. I have rich and beautiful memories of growing up in South Africa, Greece and as a young adult moving to Germany and then later The Netherlands. Over the course of these years, my love of the English language only grew and deepened, and at a very young age I embarked on the path that would eventually lead me to where I am today: a teacher who truly loves what she does! As a teenager, I first fell in love with the language through poetry and literature, immersing myself in the beauty of words that I felt could almost magically create new worlds and capture feelings. This led me to my own experimentations with poetry and writing which to this very day are things I enjoy dearly and are very important to me. I was fascinated at how language allowed people to communicate with one another, brought people closer together and managed to bridge incredible gaps. As time went by and I began moving from country to country I also very quickly understood how valuable English was as a language and as a tool. Being the only common language everyone spoke in many of the countries I visited, I realized just how incredibly important it was to have a grasp on the language if I wanted to truly communicate with and understand others. Fast forward twenty years and this is more vital than ever before. In a world led by globalization and one where the international language of commerce is English, having the ability to speak English is truly no longer an asset but rather a necessity. As a young adult in Germany, I came to the realization that I wanted to turn my passion for the English language into a career. From that moment on, I invested my time and energy into attaining my goal of becoming an English teacher. I took my first step by gaining my CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) which then led me to my first teaching positions at language schools in Berlin. Over the years I taught both General and Business English in various companies including Wall Street School of English, Ebay Germany, Jaguar and Thyssenkrupp among others. I soon followed my certificate with an Advanced Diploma in Applied Linguistics and eventually a Masters in Education (Applied Linguistics), solidifying and expanding my knowledge on the foundations of the English language, how it developed over the years and how we can as teachers successfully help others learn the language. I continue to further educate myself at every opportunity, most recently completing the “Foundations of Virtual Instruction” course through the University of California. I realize that the face of education is rapidly changing and moving ever more towards online learning; more accessible and flexible learning. It is a trend that I believe will continue to develop over time, which is why I chose to focus on expanding my online teaching career. The other equally important reason for moving into online teaching was my interest in and desire to work with people from around the globe- what an incredible opportunity! Finally, I find myself after many years back in Greece realizing my long-term dream of starting my own business where I can share with others my knowledge of and passion for the English language. Nothing brings me more joy and fulfilment than helping others attain their language learning goals and supporting them through the often challenging but always exciting path of learning a new language. I always strive to make each students’ learning experience a unique one; one filled with support, patience and encouragement. I have had the fortune of working with truly wonderful individuals who have inspired me and continue to inspire me, and who remind me- though I never need reminding!-just why I became an English teacher. I hope that we will have the opportunity to meet and work together very soon. Sincerely, Karolina Thomoglou PLEASE NOTE: Last minute and same day cancellations will NOT be refunded unless there is an emergency situation. If you book a lesson and believe you won't be able to make it- please unschedule or reschedule it as soon as possible. Teacher will wait up to 15 minutes before opening the hour to other students. There are no refunds for missed lessons- if you think you will not make it in time- please inform me so that I may reschedule our lesson.

Hi, I'm Bonnie, and I'm not your average e-teacher! I'm a professional writer, an editor of academic literature, a researcher of language acquisition, and a masters student of linguistics; I'm also an animal lover, a collector of body art, a bike-traveler, a music enthusiast, and a keen examiner of both the human condition and the universe we inhabit. But first and foremost, I'm a certified ESL teacher with more than 13 years of experience (including 3 years as an online instructor and 2 years on Verbling). I provide editing services (please contact me for more information) as well as more traditional online classes. I specialize in business and academic English, informal discourse and conversation, exam preparation (TOEFL, TOEIC, and IELTS), phonetics (the sounds of speech), and pragmatics (the use of language in the North American context, such as idioms, colloquialisms, and social conventions). I have experience teaching all levels of adults. My hardware is a Microsoft LifeCam Cinema 720p HD webcam, and I have a high speed (50 mbps) cable internet connection. Let's talk about your English goals and how I can help you achieve them. I hope to meet you soon!
