In my spare time, I volunteer as a leader for Girl Guiding UK and I’ve listed my interests below. Interests: Travelling, French Horn, Piano, Girl Guiding, Crafts, Cats, Baking and Marvel Films. I enjoy making videos about my travels on my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/bekitravels I also love making videos teaching people how to play brass instruments! https://www.youtube.com/c/TheBrassTeacher I have over 3 years’ experience teaching English to non-native children and adults, both in person and online. I have taught students from all over the world from complete beginners to advanced learners. I am proud to have helped lots of Japanese, Chinese and European students learn a range of topics to improve their speaking, writing and reading abilities in English. A typical lesson with Beki I can work with you to create a unique learning plan or we can use one of my pre-prepared courses. My lessons are both productive and fun! I believe this is the best way to create an effective and relaxed teaching environment. I am fully qualified to teach the following topics to Adult English students: • Conversational English • Proofreading Documents • Job Interview Preparation • Preparing Students for Music Conservatoires • Preparation for moving to the UK • Exam Preparation (Eiken, TOEIC, TOEFL, OPIc) • Custom Learning Plans I also love to teach fun and creative English lessons to children (4+ years): • Interactive whiteboard games • Story Time • Singing Songs in English! • Phonics & Sounds If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a message and I look forward to teaching you soon in a trial lesson! If you're confused about what a trial lesson is, these points will help you: ►THE TRIAL LESSON IS: - A 30 minute introduction class. - An opportunity for you to see how lessons with me work. - Time for you to ask me any questions. - A way for us to create a unique learning plan for you - A way to test your internet connection and check its strong enough for video & audio calls - A way to get to know each other better, learn about our hobbies etc ►A TRIAL LESSON IS NOT: - A free way for you to get your CV or written work corrected. - A lesson which is concentrated on your areas for improvement - A cheap way to get a 30-minute conversation class with the active intention of not continuing. If you have a trial lesson and you decide that I’m not the teacher for you, then of course that’s fine! 😊 Teacher Beki : )

My name is Flo, I am bilingual, a native speaker of American English, and a language instructor with eight years of experience. As a multilingual globetrotter, I am passionate about travel, language, and culture. Besides being an online teacher, I am also a freelance writer. As a language instructor, I have helped students with no knowledge of a language become fluent within six months, but I've also helped many advanced students reach a higher level of fluency. I have worked for language centers and corporate clients such as Berlitz and IBM, but I've also done a lot of private tutoring with students of all ages, levels, and backgrounds. I'm a certified Berlitz instructor and I focus on immersion to teach my students the target language. I take pride in being able to help my students identify core issues and become confident English speakers. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced learner, I look forward to helping you improve your fluency and reach your language-learning goals! I can help you prepare for English exams such as TOEIC, TOEFL, and IELTS, help you write an excellent resume and prepare for job interviews, or work on business skills such as networking and negotiating. Once we have had our first class, I will send you a detailed analysis and lesson plan. From there, you will receive a pdf document with notes on grammar corrections, vocabulary, idioms, and pronunciation after each and every class. By taking notes rather than interrupting you while speaking, I will help you develop fluency while still offering thorough instruction on how to improve your syntax, word choice, and intonation. I look forward to meeting you!
Do you want to improve your fluency with one of the most experienced, knowledgeable and fun teachers online? Well look no further! I have 15 years' experience teaching English at all levels. If you need to build your confidence, I got you covered. If you need help preparing for an exam, an interview, or a business trip, I also got you covered. I can help you, I promise. My style involves gently evaluating the student as we speak. I start off with simple questions, and judging by their answers, adapt the level of difficulty. I have been the in-house teacher at a large Spanish manufacturer, giving English training to their staff since 2008. Our focus is mainly on business matters, but I also have private students whom I often prepare to take official exams. I'm a natural teacher with the gift of the gab. An hour passes very quickly in my dynamic and challenging classes. I also provide after-class support; give and correct homework. I usually end up becoming great friends with my students. I am confident I can give any student, anywhere exactly what they need to improve their academic, or professional English.
Hello! My name is Jason, and I'm a trained American English teacher with over 10 years of experience. I am also a published writer, with articles in the New York Times and TIME Magazine. I have taught thousands of lessons on various learning platforms, working mostly with Asian, Spanish, Brazilian, and Middle Eastern students. I have a bachelor's degree in English and journalism, and a master's degree in English literature and creative writing. I specialize in TOEFL, IELTS, and language test preparation in general. I also specialize in job interview preparation, writing improvement, and advanced tasks, such as line-by-line editing and essay critiques. I am capable of helping you with almost anything you may need in terms of English language assistance; I I will custom design a learning plan just for you. I love traveling! I'm currently based in Medellin, Colombia, where I've been learning Spanish in my free time, and teaching English to Chinese children online every morning for almost 2 years. I love learning about other cultures, and I plan to visit at least 50 countries! I am an extremely patient and energetic teacher. I love having fun and educational conversations with people from different cultures. I hope to see you soon in my classroom! POLICIES: I DO NOT TEACH CHILDREN ON THIS PLATFORM, EXCEPT UNDER SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES. I teach young children for a different website, and I have a lot of experience with teaching children, but the Verbling platform is not optimized for teaching most young children. There are certain circumstances where Verbling can be good for young people, but it will require the creation of complex lesson plans, as well as consultation with the parents about what kind of lessons would be good for the children, and then further analysis of the child's abilities. Most children are shy, especially when speaking a foreign language to a stranger on a computer, so instead of conversational practice, classes with children usually involve the teacher asking dozens of questions, with the student simply giving short answers, and waiting for more questions. It involves much, much more work and effort to teach children on this platform. Therefore, in the unusual event that I will agree to work with children here, the price will be closer to 20 dollars per hour. Please alert me ahead of time if you are looking for someone to teach your children, and we can discuss the possibility. TARDINESS POLICY: I will wait for 7 minutes for students to arrive in the classroom. After 7 minutes, if I have still heard nothing from the student, the class will be marked as completed, and closed. Many teachers only wait for 5 minutes. I allow for an extra 2 minutes, because in my experience, 7 minutes is enough time for a student who encounters a tech problem to restart their computer or cell phone and reenter the class, or at least send a message to the teacher, advising him or her about difficulty with entering the class. I will also abide by this rule: if I am more than 7 minutes late to a class, without having at least messaged him or her to advise of a problem, I will issue a 100% refund to the student.
