Hi there, My name is Alice, I am an experienced and certificated teacher.
I have DITALS certification of the University of Siena that attests my competence in teaching Italian as a Foreign Language, with focus in the Adult Learners Profile.
I am also a CELI examiner and have trained many students to pass the CILS and CELI exams.
I'm from central Italy and my accent is neutral but for fun I can imitate for you some of the main regional cadences.
I have been teaching Italian as a foreign language for 8 years, to different learners (for age, interests, needs, levels, mother tongue). I do this job with professionality and passion.
I'm from Orvieto, a little town in Umbria, I lived in Rome for many years and then I started traveling.
I love travelling and getting in touch to other cultures and languages; I have lived for long periods in Brazil, United States, Spain and Thailand.
I can speak English, Portuguese, Spanish, a bit of Chinese and French. I studied ancient Greek and Latin in ...

Hello Students,
My name is Enzo and I am a professional Italian teacher from Catania, Sicily. In the past, from 2014 onward, I taught private Italian classes in foreign countries, where I had moved abroad to participate in volunteer work. In my free time I volunteer as a full time teacher as part of a worldwide educational program. I also work as an instructor of group classes on public speaking and presentations, which has given me great experience in this field.
I am happy to help students of all ages! I enjoy teaching vocabulary, pronunciation and conversational Italian to my students. I believe that learning Italian should be a fun process. You can perfect your pronunciation and fluency without pressure in my classes. I'm also fluent in German, Spanish, and English, so if you are a new, beginner-level student there should be no problem communicating.
If none of my available times work for you, feel free to send me a message, and we can find a time that is good for your schedu...

I was preparing a lesson for a student of mine, when I found myself struggling with a translation. The word was “cavare”. «Pull out» I thought. But then… was there a better word? “Cavare”, in Italian, doesn’t only mean “to pull out”, that would be “estrarre”, “tirar fuori”, “rimuovere” or something else. “Cavare” has the word “cavità” (cavity) in it. “Cavare” means “to extract from a cavity”, “to remove and leave a cavity” and I couldn’t find a single word in English that suited the perfect meaning.
This happens to me all the time, as I speak three languages daily and I am a “word perfectionist”: I am fascinated by the meaning that every word can have, those little shades of significance that can only be understood by those who profoundly study a language.
And that is what I do: I study, all the time, to speak each of my three languages at its best, and I teach, to make my students learn properly the meaning of words and their best combination.
My name is Cindy and I am a langua...

Hello! I am a professional teacher with a LM degree and years of online teaching experience with adults and children aged eight and over. During our classes we can focus on different activities depending on your level and your needing. For example I can offer you a targeted course to prepare an Italian exam, teach you Italian starting from the basics, help you improve your level and make conversation.
Some of the activities we can focus on are: grammar, conversation, exercices and vocabulary. I usually arrange for the student to put the rules into practice immediately through guided conversations and exercices. However my method is flexible and can vary depending on the student’s preferences and needs.
During my experience I have been enjoying teaching and learning other languages myself. I believe that the process of learning languages is also a path of personal growth that leads us to meet new people, explore new cultures and visit different countries. All great reasons to star...

INTERACTIVE SUPPORT MATERIAL Hi, I'm Federica from Rome. I have a degree in Italian Language and Literature and a master in Communication Theories. I'm DITALS certified (Teaching of Italian as a Foreign Language). I'm a mother tongue teacher of Italian and using the communicative method, that aims at developing and privileging the communicative skills of the student. In this new perspective, knowing a language means being able to carry out communicative actions to accomplish a goal. It’s a method that makes learning easier and faster.
I also use the completely free and interactive support material I tailored for our online lessons and a test to evaluate your level of Italian competence. This material, divided into units, will help you during the lesson and we will use it for the exercises. In each unit, the student learns to carry out one or more communication actions and exercises with conversation (which i leave plenty of room for), grammar, listening, pronunciation and w...
