Hello everyone! Since you're probably here to choose a teacher from among hundreds, let me share a helpful tip: one of the strongest signs of of student satisfaction is the average number of lessons per student. How do you calculate it? Simply divide the total number of lessons a teacher has given by the number of students who have taken at least a second class. Verbling is especially helpful here, as it’s the only platform that clearly displays this statistic on each teacher’s profile. (In my case, you’ll see I have around 56 lessons per student: this number is calculated by Verbling, taking into account only those students who took at least one class after the trial class) To sum up: if you avoid teachers with a low average, you're much more likely to enjoy a positive and rewarding learning experience. Wishing you all the best in your learning journey — and if you choose me, see you soon! 🤗 About me Hello! My name is Valerio, and I’m a native Italian speaker, born and raised in...

Hi my name is Marco, I'm a native italian speaker from Pescara, a beautiful city in the center east coast of Italy, I graduated in banking an finance in 2012 and I used to be an accountant but my real passion is teaching. I have been teaching for the past six years and I'm currently studying to become a business teacher. Recently I got my master degree in Teaching Italian as a second language (L2). I had been taught for six months in a no profit organization dedicated to immigrants and foreigners. I can speak: english, spanish, portuguese and some french. I'm really patient and I love to talk with people all around the world. My classes are focused on grammar and conversation but I think learning a language should be fun, so with my students I talk about sport, cinema, situation of daily life and italian culture for those who want to visit my country. I always try to putmy students in a comfort zone slowly pushing them to the next level. I can challenge the student when we deal with...

Hi! I'm an Italian tutor with a long background in language teaching. I started teaching Italian in my twenties at a small private school in Germany and have been working in education ever since. I'm a certified foreign language teacher (Cambridge Assessment), and for the past 10+ years, I’ve been teaching and evaluating language programs across West Asia. My teaching style is practical and engaging. I focus on teaching the language in chunks—so you learn real, useful expressions from day one. We’ll use lots of repetition and targeted drills to help new structures stick. I also use a mix of tech tools and apps to make learning more varied. I follow a flipped classroom approach, which means you’ll get plenty of hands-on practice during our sessions, and materials to explore on your own time. Whether you're just starting out or want to sharpen your skills, I’ll support you every step of the way!

Hello! I am a professional teacher with a LM degree and years of online teaching experience with adults and children aged eight and over. During our classes we can focus on different activities depending on your level and your needing. For example I can offer you a targeted course to prepare an Italian exam, teach you Italian starting from the basics, help you improve your level and make conversation. Some of the activities we can focus on are: grammar, conversation, exercices and vocabulary. I usually arrange for the student to put the rules into practice immediately through guided conversations and exercices. However my method is flexible and can vary depending on the student’s preferences and needs. During my experience I have been enjoying teaching and learning other languages myself. I believe that the process of learning languages is also a path of personal growth that leads us to meet new people, explore new cultures and visit different countries. All great reasons to star...

INTERACTIVE SUPPORT MATERIAL Hi, I'm Federica from Rome. I have a degree in Italian Language and Literature and a master in Communication Theories. I'm DITALS certified (Teaching of Italian as a Foreign Language). I'm a mother tongue teacher of Italian and using the communicative method, that aims at developing and privileging the communicative skills of the student. In this new perspective, knowing a language means being able to carry out communicative actions to accomplish a goal. It’s a method that makes learning easier and faster. I also use the completely free and interactive support material I tailored for our online lessons and a test to evaluate your level of Italian competence. This material, divided into units, will help you during the lesson and we will use it for the exercises. In each unit, the student learns to carry out one or more communication actions and exercises with conversation (which i leave plenty of room for), grammar, listening, pronunciation and w...

I was preparing a lesson for a student of mine, when I found myself struggling with a translation. The word was “cavare”. «Pull out» I thought. But then… was there a better word? “Cavare”, in Italian, doesn’t only mean “to pull out”, that would be “estrarre”, “tirar fuori”, “rimuovere” or something else. “Cavare” has the word “cavità” (cavity) in it. “Cavare” means “to extract from a cavity”, “to remove and leave a cavity” and I couldn’t find a single word in English that suited the perfect meaning. This happens to me all the time, as I speak three languages daily and I am a “word perfectionist”: I am fascinated by the meaning that every word can have, those little shades of significance that can only be understood by those who profoundly study a language. And that is what I do: I study, all the time, to speak each of my three languages at its best, and I teach, to make my students learn properly the meaning of words and their best combination. My name is Cindy and I am a langua...

Hi, My name is Tina and I live in Rome. I have two degrees one in Italian Literature Philosophy and another in Art History. I taught Italian to children of all ages, I really enjoyed teaching but I accepted a job offer to become a civil servant for Rome City Hall, looking after the Roman heritage and becoming the director of the Medicine History Museum of Rome. I have recently retired and with some spare time in my hands, I went back to my true vocation: teaching. I now teach Italian to students whose first language is not Italian. I have students mainly from France, UK, and USA who are, for different reasons, in Italy and need to learn the language. Well, I can't wait to get started! 🙂 🇮🇹

I'm Valentina and I'm a professional Italian teacher with a great passion for foreign languages (especially Spanish, my favourite one!). I currently live near Rome but I lived in Spain and Argentina: in fact, I really love travelling and discovering new places, cultures and food. I have been teaching Italian to foreigners since 2014 when I got the DITALS level II certification from the University for Foreigners of Siena. My classes are completely focused on the students' needs with an action-oriented approach: they are encouraged to "make with the language" without w...
