¡Hola! My name is Mariana and I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I'm a teacher of English as a Foreign Language and a qualified Spanish tutor. I've taught Foreign Languages for more than 16 years. I believe that learning a language successfully comes through having to communicate real meaning. Learners trully learn a language when they are involved in real communication. For this purpose, I plan my lessons taking into account your needs and interests. I include authentic material such as videos, songs, literature and games in the foreign language. I work hard to provide my students with a variety of meaningful activities and creative lessons. Don't hesitate to contact me, I promise you will have fun while learning!
Hello everyone! I´m Eugenia, from Madrid, and I am a professional Spanish teacher. With a background in Linguistics and 20 years of professional teaching experience (groups, face to face and online classes; all levels from beginners to advanced), I can help you with every aspect of the language learning process. Apart from teaching in Madrid I also lived and taught in Bern, Switzerland, for 6 years and speak German and even a little Swiss German. Besides, with my French and English knowledge I can help you with your specific situation. Although the main focus of my lessons is on oral communication, other language skills may also be developed, and you will receive many different types of materials: videos, exercises, websites, apps, texts… I think learning a language should be interactive, fun and engaging so I use a combination of different methods to really personalise my lessons according to my student’s needs (what works for someone may not work for someone else! ) In your cla...
Hi! My name is Carmen, and I'm a Spanish teacher. Now the obvious things are out of the way, here are some things you may not know. My name means 'poem' in Latin, and I kind of like that. I was born in Granada, a cute city in the south of Spain where Carmen means 'big house with garden'. There, I graduated in philosophy, and learnt there is a word in my language to name the colour clouds turn at sunset. Amazed by that, I moved to Madrid to study arts and, trying to see as many of those clouds as possible, travelled a lot. I ended up in Boston, Massachusetts, where I became a Spanish teacher so I could discuss the details of that colour with everyone (I should add that we discussed other things, too). Back in Madrid, I decided I wanted to know how a human learns to use colours that don't exist in his or her mother tongue, and got a master's degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. Now, I'm living in London, where I continue my cloud research (English skies often have one or ...
Express in Spanish being yourself and communicating without sounding like a robot. I've already tried, I'm not good at languages, I don't have time, Spanish is too difficult, etc. Have you ever said this to yourself? Let me tell you that your beliefs are holding you back. Most all of my students have lost their fear and express themselves naturally. The road is not easy or fast, but everyone can reach their goal with the proper guidance. Do not trust false promises that sell you miracle courses and progress in record time. You can read the testimonials of some of the more than 60 students I have helped in my profile. I also wanted to learn English. They were difficult years because I studied English at school since I was ten years old, but my English was still a joke after twelve years. Until I focused, got my "what for", and luckily I found a language coach who guided me on my way. Now I don't speak it perfectly, far from it, but I feel comfortable speaking and communicating by b...
