Hello and thank you for viewing my profile. My name is Miriam and I've been teaching English and Spanish for more than 20 years, so this is my passion. I've helped thousands of students achieve their goals of becoming fluent in the target language. I graduated as a teacher trainer in 1994 and got my Master's degree in Education in 2009. Hi there! My introduction video is old but I still think it's good so I'm keeping it. What has changed? Well, now I live in Montreal. I moved here to get a PhD in Sciences of Human Communication at McGill University, with a focus on Second Language Acquisition. In other words, I am now devoted to the scientific study of how we learn foreign languages! That is now my main occupation, but I would like to have a few consistent students on Verbling to link theory and practice. Besides, I love teaching, and I would like to keep doing it! So, even though my overall availability will be limited, I will make sure to keep my schedule consistent every week. I will also devote as much time and as many resources to your learning as needed.
